I don't know that I have ever in my life sweated as much as I did today. Oh, sorry ladies, I mean perspired. It was hot, humid, and wonderful here in northeast MOland and I took advantage of it by spending the day putting in roughly three dozen new plants in my several acre garden.
The areas I worked on today were the "Blues Garden" (where nearly all the plants are blue, of course), the "Rose Garden" (I think you can figure that one out) and the "Lavender Garden" (ditto - except it really is mostly lavender - my favorite scent).
I have to say that if my garden keeps going the way it is I will feel I have died and gone to gardener's heaven. LOVE IT!
I have rewarded myself for my hard work and sweat today by standing in the rain naked out on the deck. Hopefully Larry's not out with his binoculars tonight but whatthehell. If he is he got an eyefull. Have you stood skyclad in the rain, arms raised to the clouds? Ok, I know that would be hard to do for most people living in the city ........ but if you ever have the chance I recommend it as food for the soul.
My cool off breaks today were spent doing my other favorite thing: creating altered art charm bracelets. I'm feeling especially good about the custom bracelet I'm doing right now for one of my HYR girlfriends, so I'm coming up with just the right images for her (not to mention Halloween charms). It won't be a fast creation, but it'll be one of my favorites and that's what's important.
Sitting here listening to the rain pour down (and we needed that!) I'm feeling blessed, fulfilled, and more than ready to cuddle up with my four kitties in my jammies. What those kitties are doing in my jammies I'll never know (with apologies to Groucho Marx).
Wondrous blessings to y'all ........
